Self-Love means different things to different people; for some people it’s about taking care of their personal needs, for others it’s about having boundaries in place to keep themselves safe. At it’s core, self-love refers to thinking and feeling about ourselves with kindness, compassion and respect, and treating ourselves accordingly. Self-Acceptance involves embracing all aspects of our identity, including the bits we don’t like - the shadows and imperfections that make each person unique. It requires that we release the shackles of self-judgment and societal expectations, and adopt a mindset which allows our authentic self to shine through – it’s about being ok with who we are, just as we are, warts and all! Through self-acceptance, we not only acknowledge our strengths, but also befriend our vulnerabilities, allowing for a deeper more profound connection with ourselves, as well as with others. The Inner Child – a term coined by Psychologist Carl Jung – refers to the version of us that absorbed all experiences, ideas, feelings, and beliefs during our early years/childhood; beliefs including who we are, what we deserve, what we are capable of, and how the world works. On an emotional level, we carry that younger version of us deep inside of our subconscious wherever we go, affecting the grown-up version of us in ways we might not even realize. The Inner Child has many unique gifts which we can benefit from – it feels everything super intensely, it believes in magic and miracles; it is the creative, curious, most free-spirited part of us that is hungry for fun, connection, learning and exploration. However, when triggered, the Inner Child is also the most insecure and vulnerable part of who we are. It connects with us through our emotions – worry, anger, fear, sadness – calling for us to provide it with the unconditional love, care, compassion, and ultimately healing it needs to emotionally contain and nurture it. For those who never received the love and care they needed in childhood, the need for re-parenting the Inner Child becomes even more urgent. Because nobody can live a healthy, happy, and authentic life and still carry the emotional wounds and scars of their past. This is when the Inner Child needs the most healing.

My Story & how the Program was Created…
In all the one-to-one work that I do with my private coaching clients - no matter what changes they want to make, no matter what goals or success they want to achieve - the one piece of work I almost always HAVE to complete with them is the work around Self Love, Self-Acceptance & Inner Child Healing. Because it’s almost impossible to live a healthy, happy, successful, authentic life without it!
On a personal level, I’ve had to work on self-love and acceptance my life! As a child I felt invisible; as a teen I felt rejected; in my 20’s I found my voice, became my own cheerleader and worked hard to empower myself. But in my 30s I had my little boy and went on to spend 10yrs as a single mum – that’s when my need to connect to self-love and acceptance became a matter of survival. I did a lot of work on myself to get me through those years - learning, studying, reflecting, healing and reprograming – which allowed me to develop unshakeable self-love and belief in myself and master the art of creating a life I could love and be proud of. This was without a doubt the steepest learning curve, filled with frustration and tears and insecurity. So I feel humbled that I now get to support other people’s self-love journey in the coaching work I deliver, because I have walked the same path myself. I am now in my 40’s, and life is very different to anything I have ever experienced before. I live in a gorgeous home, I have an amazing relationship with my son; I get to run my own business doing what I love, working with the most amazing souls; I enjoy a great lifestyle filled with fun, connection and travel. And I am engaged to be married next year to a man who not only loves and respects me, but who truly understands the essence of who I am – the light and all my shadows – and accepts me just as I am. Of course, there are still days I have to work at self-love – there’s nothing quite like entrepreneurship to bring out someone’s deepest insecurities thanks to Imposter Syndrome. But by far the most powerful tool I use to promote my inner peace and sense of self-worth and to contain me during the storms is Inner Child healing.
